Rescue 1122 Respond To 18,760 Emergencies Across KP In August


PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st Sep, 2026) Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa responded to a total of 18,760 emergencies across the province during the month of August, providing timely and professional rescue and medical services.

According to Rescue 1122 KP on Tuesday, the emergencies recorded from August 1 to 31 included 15,038 medical emergencies, 2,126 road traffic accidents, 769 drowning incidents, 497 other emergencies, 415 fire incidents, 270 crime-related incidents, 96 wall and roof collapses, 28 mine accidents and 17 explosions, including cylinder blasts.

During these emergencies, Rescue 1122 provided medical assistance to 22,947 patients and shifted them to safe locations where necessary. Rescue personnel also successfully rescued several people trapped or affected in different incidents.

Peshawar recorded the highest number of emergencies at 3,989, followed by Mardan with 2,672, Nowshera 1,477, Swat 1,135, Dera Ismail Khan 1,003, Swabi 966, Lakki Marwat 847 and Bannu 760.

Other emergencies response included Abbottabad (574), Charsadda (459), Malakand (398), Kohat (393), Mohmand (381), Bajaur (362), Khyber (338), Mansehra (295), Haripur (292), Chitral Lower (277), Shangla (278), Buner (270), Upper Dir (228), Karak (224) and Kurram (219).

Rescue 1122 officials said their personnel remained active throughout August, providing immediate assistance in medical emergencies, road accidents, fires, drowning incidents, building collapses, violence-related incidents and other emergency situations.

Rescue 1122 KP has urged citizens to immediately call 1122 in case of any emergency and cooperate with rescue personnel during their operations.
