GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st Sep, 2026) Punjab Food Authority (PFA) imposed a total fine of Rs 60,000
on five food points across the district for various violations.
According to official sources, PFA teams inspected 51 food
points across the district to ensure compliance with food safety
and hygiene standards on the directions of Deputy District
Officer Sadia Rafat.
The authority issued 26 improvement notices to food businesses
found violating food safety and hygiene regulations.
The official said the inspection and monitoring campaign would
continue to ensure the provision of safe, hygienic and quality
food to citizens.
