MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st Aug, 2026) A person was killed and another injured when a makeshift roof made of bamboo
and wooden beams collapsed near Muslim Marriage hall in Sharifpura on Monday.
According to Rescue 1122, emergency teams reached the site soon after receiving
the call and launched a rescue operation. Two men trapped under the debris were pulled out.
One of the victims, identified as 45-year-old Muhammad Khalid, s/o Muhammad Bashir, was
found in a critical condition. Rescue personnel provided him with first aid and CPR before shifting
him to Nishtar hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.
The second injured was identified as 50-year-old Sabir Ali, s/o Talib Hussain. Rescue 1122 completed the operation after providing the injured man with necessary assistance.
