SIALKOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 30th Aug, 2026) Baidarie Sialkot organized a certificate distribution ceremony for the participants of a specialized capacity development training program on “Good Local Governance” for Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) here on Sunday.
The training program was conducted under the National Endowment for Democracy (NED)-supported initiative titled “Programme for Strengthening of Democratic Local Governance & the Electoral Processes in Sialkot (Punjab), Pakistan: Phase-III.”
President Tehsil Bar Association Sambrial, Ch Nasir Mehmood Bhatti Advocate, attended the event as the chief guest and distributed completion certificates among the participating delegates.
Prominent legal figures including Ch Usman Khalil Khattana Advocate and Ch Rameez Ahmed Cheema Advocate were also present on the occasion as guests of honor.
Speaking on the occasion, the organizers highlighted that the principal objective of this initiative was to empower local civil society organizations, enhance their institutional capacities, and deepen their operational understanding of democratic local governance and electoral frameworks across the region.
