KHYBER, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Aug, 2026) Two people died while three others fell unconscious after inhaling toxic gas inside a mine in the Chalgazai area
of Khyber, according to police sources quoted by television channels.
Initial reports said five laborers were working inside the mine when toxic gas accumulated in the area, causing them
to lose consciousness.
Rescue team reached the site after receiving information about the incident and recovered the bodies before transporting them, along with the unconscious workers, to a nearby hospital.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the gas accumulation and the incident.
