LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Aug, 2026) A 20-day training course for 53 personnel of the Punjab Tourism Force concluded at the Emergency Services academy (ESA) here on Friday, equipping participants with skills to effectively respond to emergencies and ensure the safety and facilitation of tourists.
Addressing the concluding ceremony, Emergency Services Department Secretary Dr Rizwan Naseer urged the trainees to discharge their responsibilities with honesty, sincerity and dedication. “When you take responsibility for something, perform it with complete truthfulness and honesty. You will be accountable to Allah Almighty for your duties and responsibilities,” he said.
Dr Rizwan said that the Tourism Force personnel had a responsibility to treat every tourist visiting Pakistan with courtesy and respect. “You are ambassadors of Pakistan for every tourist who visits the country,” he said.
The secretary expressed confidence that the trained personnel would utilise their skills during emergencies and play their role in saving precious lives.
He said cleanliness was half of faith and stressed that keeping Pakistan clean, green and safe from accidents was a collective responsibility. “I am confident that you will always make your instructors, the Rescue Academy, your institution and Pakistan proud,” Dr Rizwan said.
According to the Rescue Punjab spokesperson, 53 professionals of the Punjab Tourism Force participated, including assistant directors, inspectors, sub-inspectors and constables. The training was aimed at enhancing the participants’ professional capabilities to respond effectively to emergencies and ensure the safety and facilitation of tourists.
