ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) Superintendent of Police (SP) Traffic Islamabad Majid Iqbal inspected different duty points across the Federal capital, overseeing action against lane violations and other traffic offences while directing officers to ensure smooth traffic flow.
An official told APP on Thursday that during the visits, the SP Majid reviewed enforcement of traffic laws and the performance of officers deployed at different duty points, said a press release here on Thursday.
Traffic police teams took action against motorists found violating lane discipline and other traffic rules.
Majid directed the deployed officers to remain vigilant, ensure effective enforcement of traffic laws and take necessary measures to prevent traffic congestion.
He stressed that enforcement should go alongside traffic facilitation so that road discipline was maintained without disrupting the smooth movement of vehicles.
The SP Majid also directed officers to closely monitor traffic conditions at their respective duty points and take timely measures wherever traffic flow was affected.
He said effective enforcement of traffic laws and better traffic management were essential to ensure safe and smooth travel for citizens across Islamabad.
