ASTORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) Assistant Commissioner (AC) Tehsil Shounter Toosiq Ahmed chaired a meeting of officers and representatives of various government departments at his office in Shounter, where the progress of ongoing development projects, departmental performance, public grievances, and administrative matters were reviewed in detail.
The meeting was attended by SDPO Shounter Faqeer Muhammad, Tehsildar Shounter Abdul Qadeer, Assistant Director Tourism, Chief Officer District Council, and representatives of Fisheries, Agriculture, Public Works, Water & Power, LG&RD, Health, SCO and other relevant departments.
During the meeting, representatives of various departments briefed the participants on the performance of their respective departments, ongoing development projects and the facilities being provided to the public. Detailed discussions were also held on public issues related to different departments, provision of basic facilities, the pace of development works and challenges being faced in their implementation.
The participants presented various proposals for the prompt and effective resolution of public issues. Measures to ensure timely completion of development projects, transparency in official affairs and improved coordination among different departments were also discussed.
Assistant Commissioner Shounter Toosiq Ahmed directed the concerned officers to perform their duties responsibly and efficiently and ensure immediate steps for resolving public grievances. He emphasized that all government institutions should work in close coordination and effective liaison with one another to provide better services to the public.
He further directed the concerned departments to ensure effective monitoring and quality of ongoing development projects and avoid unnecessary delays in their completion. Public-related matters should be addressed on a priority basis so that people do not face difficulties in obtaining services from government institutions.
Assistant Commissioner Toosiq Ahmed made it clear that negligence or dereliction of duty in the provision of public services and resolution of public issues would not be tolerated. He directed all departments to effectively monitor their respective affairs, keep public interest as their top priority, and maintain continuous coordination with the administration.
