PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th Aug, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Aftab Alam on Monday said large-scale olive plantation in Darra Adam Khel would help transform the tribal subdivision into a greener and economically vibrant area by creating employment and income opportunities for local communities.
He expressed these views while inaugurating a major olive plantation campaign in Bosti Khel, where he planted an olive sapling along with tribal elders.
Under the Monsoon Plantation Campaign, olive trees are being planted over 25 hectares in Bosti Khel, while 22,750 saplings have been targeted for plantation at suitable sites across Darra Adam Khel.
The minister said olive cultivation would help protect the environment and strengthen the local agricultural economy by providing residents with a sustainable source of livelihood.
He termed the initiative a significant step towards building a greener and more prosperous Darra Adam Khel and urged local communities to actively participate in protecting and nurturing the newly planted trees.
