KARACHI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd Aug, 2026) The Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi visited Jamia Darul Uloom Korangi, where he met Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, members of the administration and faculty.
Mufti Taqi Usmani’s son and other administrators warmly welcomed the Governor.
During the meeting, the Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi and Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani held detailed discussions on religious education, academic matters and social issues.
They also discussed the promotion of religious education, youth character-building and social reform.
The Governor of Sindh paid tribute to the valuable religious, academic and educational services of Jamia Darul Uloom Korangi and appreciated the outstanding scholarly and religious contributions of Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani.
On the occasion, Mufti Taqi Usmani briefed the Governor that the Jamia provides not only religious education but also Matric, O-Level and A-Level education.
He further said that examinations under Wifaq-ul-Madaris are conducted simultaneously across the country on the same day and at the same time.
During the meeting, the Governor of Sindh invited Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani to attend the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference being organized at Governor House as the Chief Guest. Mufti Taqi Usmani accepted the invitation.
The two sides also held detailed discussions on the objectives of the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference at Governor House and the importance of promoting the message and teachings of the Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
