BEIJING, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd Aug, 2026) The China-Pakistan Youth Volunteer Service Team has been established in Jinan, Shandong Province, in a move aimed at strengthening youth cooperation, cultural exchanges and people-to-people ties between China and Pakistan.
The inauguration ceremony, themed “China-Pakistan Future, Volunteering Together,” was held at the District Haikou Double-Venture Talent Harbor and attended by government officials, social organization representatives and around 50 young volunteers from both countries.
Participants included Li Yanyan, Party Secretary of Changqing District; Zhou Xiaokun, Director of the District Social Work Development and Promotion Center; Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz, President of the China-Pakistan Medical Association; and Li Xiao, Director of the Shandong Tongshan Children’s Welfare Public Interest Development Center.
During the ceremony, Chinese and Pakistani youth representatives shared their volunteer experiences and outlined plans for future cooperation. The team will focus on public welfare, child companionship, community services, cultural exchange and mutual learning.
Li Yanyan encouraged young volunteers to actively participate in practical and sustained public welfare activities, saying youth can play an important role in strengthening international friendship.
Volunteer certificates were presented to representatives from both countries, formally marking the establishment of the multinational team. The initiative is expected to provide a platform for young people to work together, develop social-service skills and further deepen China-Pakistan friendship.
