FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd Aug, 2026) Faisalabad division has stepped up administrative, security and civic preparations
for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations while religious scholars, district administrations,
police and procession organizers joined hands to ensure observance of the holy
occasion with religious fervor.
The preparations were reviewed at a consultative meeting held at the Deputy
Commissioner’s Office here on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz.
Chairman Punjab Muttahida Ulama board Dr Mufti Intikhab Ahmad Noori and Council of Islamic
Ideology Pakistan member Hafiz Muhammad Amjad visited Faisalabad and jointly chaired
the meeting, which focused on arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him),
security measures and maintaining peace across the division.
Divisional Commissioner Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhera and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Faisalabad Muhammad Nauman Siddiq attended the meeting while deputy commissioners and district police officers of Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot participated through video link.
A large number of religious scholars, members of district peace committee and organizers of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace be upon him) processions also attended the meeting. Among them included Maulana Muhammad Riaz Kharl, Jaffer Naqvi, Syed Hasnain Shirazi, Allama Tahirul Hassan, Yasin Zafar, Ashiq Hussain Rizvi and Aslam Bhalli.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Mufti Intikhab Ahmad Noori said that visits were being conducted across Punjab on the instructions of Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz to ensure that Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)
was celebrated in a befitting manner.
He said that comprehensive administrative and security arrangements were being put in place for the occasion. He urged religious scholars belonging to all schools of thought to play their role in promoting
brotherhood and mutual respect.
He appreciated the measures being taken by the administrations and police of all four districts under the leadership of Divisional Commissioner Faisalabad and expressed confidence that coordinated efforts would ensure peaceful celebrations.
Divisional Commissioner Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh welcomed the delegation of Muttahida Ulama Board and said that Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) would be observed across the division with utmost devotion and respect.
He said that preparations were being completed in consultation with religious scholars and procession organizers.
RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera briefed the meeting about security arrangements across the division and said that foolproof measures were being taken to protect participants and ensure peaceful observance of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
The meeting concluded with special prayers for progress, prosperity and dignity of the country as
well as for well-being of the nation.
