ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) The Embassy of Sweden in Islamabad on Friday opened its doors for pre-voting in the 2026 Swedish parliamentary election, giving Swedish citizens in Pakistan an opportunity to exercise their democratic right early.
Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan, Alexandra Berg von Linde cast her vote at the Embassy on the first day of pre-voting.
In a message, the Ambassador said the occasion was “a reminder that every vote matters and that democratic participation is at the heart of a free and fair election.”
The Embassy encouraged all eligible Swedish voters residing in Pakistan to take part in the pre-voting process ahead of the general elections.
Pre-voting allows citizens abroad to cast their ballots in advance, ensuring wider participation in Sweden’s democratic process.
