RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) Rescue 1122 Murree has issued a safety advisory for tourists and residents amid ongoing rainfall, urging them to take precautionary measures.
The advisory recommends avoiding unnecessary travel during rain, reducing driving speed and exercising caution on slippery roads. People have also been advised to stay away from rivers, streams, rainwater drains and areas with strong water currents.
Residents and tourists have been urged to avoid weak or leaning trees and not to park vehicles near them. They have also been advised to avoid staying in areas vulnerable to landslides and to contact Rescue 1122 in case of an emergency.
The district administration and Rescue 1122 Murree have deployed emergency resources in the area. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast further rainfall and warned of possible landslides in hilly areas.
