PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) Under the good governance roadmap and vision of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mohammad Sohail Khan Afridi, the driving licence issuance process has been made fully digital, easy, fast and transparent for citizens.
The Transport Department KP has completely digitised the driving licence process, enabling citizens to apply for new, renewed or duplicate driving licences for LTV, HTV and PSV commercial categories through the Dastak App.
After entering their personal information, applicants will complete biometric verification via the NADRA Pak ID App or the nearest NADRA e-facility centre.
Following payment of the prescribed fee and a medical appointment, approval will be obtained from the concerned motor licensing authority.
Upon approval, after paying the smart card fee, an Electronic Driving Licence (E-DL) can be obtained, which will be fully legal and acceptable. The original physical driving licence card will then be delivered within 3 to 5 days.
