MUZAFFARGARH, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Muzaffargarh Usman Tahir Jappa attended the funeral prayers of Pakistan Army’s martyred Lance Naik Aftab at Chowk Qureshi on Wednesday.
Lance Naik Aftab embraced martyrdom while defending the motherland in Quetta, Balochistan. A large number of senior Army officers, civil administration officials, police personnel and citizens attended the funeral prayers.
A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honour and a salute to the martyr with full military honours. Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir Jappa laid a floral wreath on the mortal remains of the martyr and prayed for the elevation of his ranks in the hereafter.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed condolences to the bereaved family and paid tribute to the martyr’s sacrifice, saying that the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army were the pride and precious asset of the nation.
He said the sacrifices of sons of the soil like Lance Naik Aftab would always be remembered, adding that the nation would continue to salute the courage, devotion and supreme sacrifices of its martyrs.
Later, Lance Naik Aftab was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard with full military honours.
