ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Aug, 2026) A district-level orientation session of the Pakistan Women Leaders Mentorship Programme was held in Islamabad to introduce women from diverse political, professional, media, business, civil society, and legal backgrounds to the mentorship journey ahead.
The session was organized by the Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) at its head office in Islamabad, following the launch of the Pakistan Women Leaders Mentorship Programme last month.
The initiative is funded by the European Union (EU) and jointly implemented by UN Women Pakistan and the Trust for Democratic education and Accountability (TDEA), through its partners, including SSDO in Islamabad.
The orientation provided participants with an overview of the mentorship programme and its objectives, with a particular focus on strengthening women’s leadership capacities, expanding professional and political networks and creating opportunities for women to contribute more effectively to public and political life.
The programme brings together women from different sectors and backgrounds with the aim of supporting the development of the next generation of women leaders in Pakistan.
The organizers said the initiative would continue to create inclusive spaces where women can enhance their leadership skills, build meaningful networks and play a stronger role in decision-making and public affairs.
Applications for the Pakistan Women Leaders Mentorship Programme are still open, and interested women can apply online until August 28, 2026, through the programme portal:pakwlp.tdea.pk.
