ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Aug, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday directed police to recover a seven-year-old girl, who was allegedly abducted from the jurisdiction of Golra Police Station six months ago, within 15 days.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro issued the order while hearing a petition seeking the recovery of the missing child.
During the hearing, the investigating officer appeared before the court, while the girl’s father, Muhammad Abid, addressed the bench and became emotional while describing his ordeal.
He told the court that six months had passed since his daughter was abducted and alleged that he had received no support in his efforts to recover her.
“My only hope is this court,” the father said while pleading for assistance.
Justice Soomro assured him that the court stood by him and asked him not to lose hope.
The father further stated that the prolonged delay had taken a severe emotional and financial toll on his family, adding that his other children were also suffering because of the situation.
Expressing concern over the delay in the investigation, Justice Soomro said the court expected police to appear at the next hearing with the recovered child. The court directed the police to ensure the girl’s recovery within 15 days and adjourned further proceedings until then.
