RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th Aug, 2026) Police XI emerged victorious in the Internal Railway Workers cricket Tournament organized under the CDL Premier League, defeating Loco Shed in the final with an impressive performance.
The final and concluding ceremony was attended by Chaudhry Amir Altaf, President of the Railway Workers Union (CBA) CDL Workshop, who attended as the chief guest. He presented the championship trophy and prizes to the winning team.
Also present at the event were Inqilabi Union President Tariq Niazi, along with central and local office-bearers of the Workers Union and Inqilabi Union. They encouraged the players and commended them for their performances throughout the tournament.
Chaudhry Amir Altaf also lauded runners-up Loco Shed for their competitive display. The best-performing player of the final was honored with the Man of the Match award.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Amir Altaf described the organization of healthy and recreational sports activities for railway workers as a commendable initiative. He said such events foster unity, brotherhood and a positive spirit among workers, while also contributing to improved performance and productivity.
The tournament was held under the banner of the CDL Premier League and drew participation from various railway departments.
