KITE Issues Travel Advisory For Tourists


PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th Aug, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Development (KITE) Project of KP Culture, Tourism and Archeology Department (KPCTA) has issued travel advisory and guidelines for tourists intending to enjoy scenic areas.

In a press statement issued here on Sunday, districts of Chitral, Swat and Galiyat circle have been opened for travelers. However, Kumrat Road in district Dir has been opened only for 4×4 vehicles.

Similarly Babusar pass is opened between 06:00am to 06:00pm and Saiful Maluk Lake road is open between 09:30am to 04:00pm.

The tourists visiting hilly areas during summer have been advised to strictly follow the travel advisory and guidelines to safely enjoy their trips to cold areas.

The tourists were further advised to avoid lighting unnecessary fires and properly dispose of wastes to protect the area atmosphere.

Protection of forests and wildlife should be ensured and cooperation with KITE DoT in maintaining the environment.

The travelers were asked to contact KITE DoT on landline number 1422 in case of any emergency during their visits or can get travel information.
