GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th Aug, 2026) A farewell ceremony was held here on Sunday in honour of outgoing District Police Officer (DPO) Akhtar Farooq following his transfer from the district.
According to official sources, Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Hafiz Imtiaz Ahmed, along with other senior police officers, presented a bouquet to the outgoing DPO and showered flower petals on him during the ceremony to bid him a warm farewell.
Speaking on the occasion, the officers stated that Akhtar Farooq performed his duties with utmost honesty, dedication, and professionalism during his tenure. They added that his meritorious services would always be remembered by both the police force and the people of the district.
