MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Dr. Faisal Saleem ordered the blacklisting of two District Council contractors and initiated legal action against them over unnecessary delays in completing public development projects.
According to a spokesperson here on Saturday, the contractors—identified as Abrar-ul-Haq and Muhammad Ilyas—were blacklisted for failing to complete their assigned projects within the stipulated time frame. The deputy commissioner also approved the re-tendering of the projects to ensure their swift and timely completion.
He emphasized that the wastage of public funds and undue delays in development schemes would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He directed the District Council authorities to take strict legal action against all contractors found responsible for delaying development initiatives. Furthermore, he instructed officials to complete the new tendering process in a transparent manner within the specified time to ensure the uninterrupted progress of public welfare schemes.
