PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th Aug, 2026) A drug-intoxicated man on Saturday climbed a PESCO electricity pole in broad daylight in an apparent attempt to steal power cables.
The PESCO spokesperson in a statement here said the incident occurred in Shahi Bagh sub-division.
Fortunately, the power supply had been switched off at the time as the company’s teams were carrying out maintenance work, preventing a potentially serious accident.
The PESCO personnel used a ladder to safely bring the man down from the pole, the spokesperson said.
