BAHAWALPUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Aug, 2026) A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
Senior Judge of the Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench, Mr. Justice Ahmad Nadeem Arshad, hoisted the national flag at the ceremony. A smartly turned-out contingent of police presented a guard of honour to the distinguished guests on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Justice Ahmad Nadeem Arshad paid rich tribute to the eminent personalities and founding fathers of the Pakistan Movement for their historic and unparalleled sacrifices. He highlighted the significance of freedom, the immense sacrifices rendered for the creation of Pakistan, and the responsibilities incumbent upon citizens for the progress and stability of the country.
The participants expressed their resolve to play their fullest role in promoting Pakistan’s development, prosperity, stability and national unity in accordance with the teachings and guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. A special prayer was also offered for the security, progress, prosperity, and well-being of Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by Senior Additional Registrar Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench Chaudhry Aurangzeb, President High Court Bar Association Bahawalpur Samina Qureshi, General Secretary High Court Bar Bahawalpur Saqib Tariq, Deputy Advocate General Zafar Iqbal Awan, Protocol Officer Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench Shahid Iqbal Lak, Security In-charge Faisal Rafiq, lawyers, officers and employees of the Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench.
