ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Aug, 2026) The Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent hosted a Flag Hoisting Ceremony to celebrate the 80th Independence Day of Pakistan at the Chancery.
The event was attended by officials of the Embassy and members of the Pakistani community,said a press release issued here on Friday.
The national flag was hoisted and messages of the Honourable President and Prime Minister of Pakistan on the occasion of Independence Day were read out to the audience.
In his address, the Ambassador extended heartfelt felicitations to all Pakistanis on the Independence Day of Pakistan.
He paid rich tribute to the founding fathers of Pakistan particularly Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and praised the countrymen who continue to sacrifice their lives for the defence of our beloved homeland.
He commended the active role of the overseas Pakistanis in the development of the country and its economy.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional and global peace and stability as a responsible state.
A documentary film on Quaid-e-Azam’s life, vision and legacy was also screened at the event.
