SUKKUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th Aug, 2026) Shikarpur Police have arrested two wanted outlaws in several criminal cases, including a murder case, and recovered illegal weapons from their possession, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shikarpur, Muhammad Kaleem said.
According to the SSP, the arrests were made by Lakhi Ghulam Shah Police during an intelligence-based operation on Chhahol Bano Link Road. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Lakhi Ghulam Shah Mohammad Ali Soomro and his police team.
One of the arrested culprit identified as Ehsan Mahar, was allegedly involved in serious criminal activities. SSP Mohammad Kaleem said that 21 serious cases, including a murder case, have been registered against him.
The second Khadem Hussain Mahar, was wanted by police in three criminal cases, the SSP added.
Police recovered illegal weapons from the possession of the arrested suspects. A separate case has been registered against them under the relevant provisions of law, while further legal proceedings were underway.
SSP Mohammad Kaleem said the arrests were another major achievement for Shikarpur Police and the result of an effective strategy and comprehensive planning aimed at curbing crime in the district.
He said that operations against criminals would be further intensified under a zero-tolerance policy to make Shikarpur free from crime. He also praised DSP Mohammad Ali Soomro and his team for the successful operation.
