NARAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th Aug, 2026) A series of activities is being organized in Naran under the auspices of the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
On the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary, Shahabuddin Shah and under the supervision of KDA Director General Rehmat Ali, various programmes are being arranged in Naran. National flags, banners and panaflexes have been displayed at different locations across the Kaghan Valley to mark Independence Day.
A fireworks display will be held at the KDA office premises on the night of August 13, while a flag-hoisting and cake-cutting ceremony will be held on the morning of August 14.
The final of the Independence Day cricket Tournament will also be played at the KDA Camping Ground. The KDA headquarters and field offices will be illuminated as part of the celebrations.
A rafting race in the clear waters of the River Kunhar will be a major attraction of the celebrations. Teams from different areas will participate in the event, which is expected to draw keen interest from tourists visiting Naran.
A large number of tourists are expected to visit Naran and the Kaghan Valley during the Independence Day holidays. The KDA has arranged a range of activities to make the celebrations attractive and memorable for visitors.
