SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th Aug, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shoukat Ali chaired a video-link meeting on Wednesday to review the ongoing transition of the Suthra Punjab Agency, progress and cleanliness operations across the division.
According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner’s office here, Additional Commissioner Coordination Ashfaq-ur-Rehman Khan, Director Local Government Asif Iqbal and all Additional Deputy Commissioners (Municipal Services)/Managing Directors of Suthra Punjab Agencies in the division attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed in detail the process of transferring the Suthra Punjab Agency, implementation of the Chief Minister’s directives and ongoing sanitation activities in urban and rural areas.
The commissioner directed the concerned officers to further improve and strengthen the sanitation system under the Suthra Punjab initiative and ensure proper cleanliness standards across both urban and rural areas.
He said negligence in implementing the directions of the Punjab Chief Minister would not be tolerated and stressed that the transfer process of Suthra Punjab Agencies must be completed within the stipulated timeline.
Hafiz Shoukat Ali also directed officials to ensure effective monitoring of sanitation operations and prompt redressal of public complaints.
He emphasised that cleanliness activities should be monitored on a daily basis and officers should remain present in the field to personally review sanitation arrangements.
The meeting was also briefed on progress towards achieving Suthra Punjab targets, ongoing cleanliness operations and the future course of action.
