SANGHAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Aug, 2026) A series of sports activities has begun in Tando Adam as part of Independence Day celebrations, with cricket and various other competitions being organised for students of government and private schools.

According to the schedule issued by the organisers, an Independence Day cricket tournament is being held among school teams from Tando Adam taluka. Teams representing Government Boys High School Mir Hassan Mari, Government Boys High School Maulana Mohammad Ali Johar, Government Boys High School Sir Syed, Government Boys High School Shah Abdul Latif, Government Boys High School Jamia Millia, Government Boys High School Ahmed Burira, The City School and Step Schools are participating in the tournament.
The cricket matches are being played at the Tando Adam Cricket Ground from Aug 10 to 13, while the final will be held on Aug 14 as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
The organisers said all matches were being played in accordance with Pakistan Cricket board rules.
Besides cricket, students will participate in a range of athletics and recreational competitions, including a 100-metre race, tug-of-war, three-legged race, spoon race and sack race.
The organisers said the activities were aimed at promoting healthy recreational activities, discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork and a spirit of national unity among students.
