Education Must Be Made National Priority, Says APPSCA President


RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Aug, 2026) Central President, All Pakistan Private Schools Central Association (APPSCA), Dr Abrar Hussain Malik, has termed education as the foundation of national development, calling for greater government-private sector cooperation to promote private schools, train teachers and enroll out-of-school children.

Addressing a meeting chaired by APPSCA Punjab Patron-in-Chief Qazi Zahoor-ul-Haq, he stressed the need to strengthen the association’s educational initiatives.

APPSCA Punjab General Secretary, Sajid Ilyas Chaudhry, termed the sealing of private schools in Rahim Yar Khan illegal and called for dialogue to resolve the issue.

APPSCA Rawalpindi Divisional President, Irfan Muzaffar Kiyani demanded the immediate reopening of schools across Punjab, including Rawalpindi, saying further decline in education in the province was unacceptable.

The participants called for greater support for private educational institutions and concerted efforts to improve literacy.
