SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Aug, 2026) Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry(SCCI) President,Khawaja Yasir Qayyum has welcomed the landmark strategic defense agreement between Pakistan,Saudi Arabia and Türkiye,describing it as an important development for promoting peace,stability and collective security in the region.
In a statement issued here on Monday,Khawaja Yasir Qayyum said the agreement reflected the mutual trust,close ties and growing defense cooperation among the three brotherly Muslim countries,adding that the pact would further strengthen their collective defense capabilities and contribute to peace and stability in the region.
He noted that Pakistan and Türkiye enjoyed longstanding brotherly and strategic relations,while Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were bound by strong religious,historical and fraternal ties.
The expansion of defense cooperation among the three countries,he added,was a positive step towards greater unity and mutual cooperation in the Muslim world.
President Khawaja stressed that peace and stability were essential for economic growth,investment and trade.
He called for greater cooperation among the three countries not only in defense but also in trade,investment, technology and business-to-business linkages.
Such cooperation,he said,could open up new avenues for economic development and prosperity in the region.
SCCI President expressed hope that the agreement would further consolidate bilateral and trilateral cooperation among Pakistan,Saudi Arabia and Türkiye and play a significant role in promoting lasting peace,security and prosperity in the region.
