BAHAWALPUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Aug, 2026) Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia visited the Emergency Department of Bahawal
Victoria Hospital (BVH) to review the medical facilities being provided to patients.
During the visit, Assistant Commissioner Iqra Mubeen, Medical Superintendent BVH, Director Emergency Department, and other relevant staff were also present.
The commissioner visited patients receiving treatment in the emergency ward and inquired about their
treatment, availability of medicines, and the quality of medical facilities.
He also inspected cleanliness arrangements, availability of medicines and medical equipment, and other administrative and operational facilities at the emergency department.
He directed the hospital administration to maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure effective daily sanitation arrangements.
He stressed that all patients must receive medicines, quality treatment, and essential medical care without delay or hindrance.
The commissioner said improving the quality of healthcare services in public hospitals, ensuring better patient care, and strengthening the overall treatment system were among the Punjab government’s key priorities under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision.
He urged doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to perform their duties with dedication, integrity, and professionalism. He made it clear that negligence or dereliction of duty in patient care would not be tolerated. He directed the hospital administration to continuously monitor healthcare services, ensure uninterrupted availability of medicines, and provide patients with a clean and comfortable environment to further strengthen public confidence in government hospitals.
