SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Aug, 2026) A two-day national songs concert, organized by the District Administration, began at the Arts Council here on Sunday to mark the signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
The concert featured local singers and students from various schools, who performed national and patriotic songs highlighting national solidarity, unity and the brotherly relations among the three countries.
The Arts Council premises were decorated with the national flags of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, banners and a specially prepared stage. The building was also illuminated with electric lights.
A large number of citizens, including youth and children, attended the concert and expressed enthusiasm during the performances. The audience also raised slogans in support of solidarity among the three countries.
Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry said the concert was organized to share the significance of the defence agreement with the public and highlight the longstanding brotherly relations and cooperation among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, signed in Makkah on August 7, reflected the three countries’ commitment to mutual security and cooperation. He said the agreement provided for collective defence, under which an armed attack against any one of the signatories would be regarded as an attack against all three.
The deputy commissioner said the people of Pakistan regarded Saudi Arabia and Türkiye as brotherly countries and welcomed enhanced cooperation among the three nations.
He said the concert also aimed to promote national unity, strengthen bonds of friendship with the two brotherly countries and raise awareness among the younger generation about the importance of regional cooperation.
The performances by school students and local singers were appreciated by the audience.
