ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Aug, 2026) Minister of State for Religious Harmony Kheal Das Kohistani has said a new chapter in history has been written on the sacred soil of Makkah with the signing of the defence agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
He described the agreement as an extraordinary moment of pride for the Muslim Ummah, saying the historic achievement would always be remembered as a great moment in history.
Khel Das Kohistani said Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir had played a key role in the achievement through their efforts, wisdom and strategic leadership.
He said Pakistan’s Hindu, Christian, Sikh, Parsi and other minority communities congratulated the country’s leadership on the landmark initiative and expressed their support for the development.
