ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Aug, 2026) Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has described the Makkah agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye as the beginning of a new era, saying the pact was not directed against any country but aimed at ensuring the security and protection of the three signatories.
Talking about the agreement, he said the coming together of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye had given a new hope to the Muslim world.
Talal Chaudhry said the Makkah agreement would not only strengthen peace in the region but also serve as a catalyst for stability across the world.
He said Pakistan was pleased and grateful that Allah Almighty had given the country and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif the opportunity to play a role in such an important initiative.
“This is a great responsibility because it involves the protection of a place whose security is more important to every Muslim than his own life,” he said, referring to the holy sites in Saudi Arabia.
The minister said that, over the recent short period, each passing day had brought good news for Pakistan, expressing optimism that the latest development would further enhance the country’s standing and contribute to regional peace and stability.
