HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Aug, 2026) Commissioner, Hyderabad Division, Fayaz Hussain Abbasi, has imposed Section 144 Cr.P.C. across Hyderabad Division and ordered a complete ban on swimming and bathing at picnic points in the River Indus, as well as in all canals, riverbanks, ponds, distributaries, and lakes falling within the jurisdiction of Hyderabad Division.
The measure has been imposed as a preventive safety measure to protect citizens from drowning incidents and other water-related hazards.
Citizens are strictly advised to comply with the ban and avoid entering or bathing in any prohibited water body.
District Administration Hyderabad urges the public to cooperate with the authorities and prioritize safety.
