ATTOCK, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Aug, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Attock Dr. Mudassir Ahmed Shah, a comprehensive crackdown has been launched across the district against public service vehicles fitted with illegally installed LPG cylinders in violation of safety regulations.
In this regard on Sunday, during the operation, teams of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Attock, in collaboration with relevant departments, conducted inspections at various locations and impounded around 20 vehicles. The illegally installed LPG cylinders were also removed from the vehicles, while Civil Defence officials assisted the teams in carrying out the removal process with necessary safety precautions.
On this occasion, the authorities warned that the illegal and unsafe installation of LPG cylinders in public transport vehicles poses a serious threat to the lives of passengers and other citizens, adding that strict legal action would continue against violators without discrimination.
The Deputy Commissioner said protection of the lives and property of citizens was the top priority of the district administration and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. He directed the concerned departments to intensify the operation, ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and continue indiscriminate legal action against those endangering public safety, stressing that no concession would be given to violators.
