LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Aug, 2026) The Horticulture Agency Lahore’s Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign 2026 is continuing successfully under the Green Lahore vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
As part of the campaign, the Horticulture Agency Lahore invited WASA Vice Chairman Chaudhry Shehbaz Ahmad to the green belt adjacent to the ‘Sultanpura Station’ of the Orange Line Metro Train project to ensure the active participation of public representatives in the plantation drive, said a handout issued here on Saturday.
Chaudhry Shehbaz Ahmad planted a sapling at the green belt and participated in the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign 2026.
WASA Vice Chairman said that tree plantation was the need of the hour for environmental improvement, clean air and a greener environment.
He urged citizens and public representatives to actively participate in plantation campaigns and ensure the proper care and protection of trees.
Officials of the Horticulture Agency Lahore said that the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign was aimed at promoting maximum plantation across Lahore.
They said efforts would continue to make the city greener and more beautiful with the participation of citizens, public representatives and people from different segments of society.
