ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Aug, 2026) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Saturday, departed Madinah al- Munawwarah for Pakistan after completing his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Governor of Madinah Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud saw off the prime minister and the Pakistani delegation at Madinah Airport, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, which would open a new chapter in defence cooperation and fraternal ties among the three countries.
During his stay, prime minister also performed Umrah and paid his respects at Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) at Masjid-e-Nabawi in Madinah.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi accompanied him during his visit.
