ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Aug, 2026) Major landmarks and government building lit up across various cities on Saturday night to commemorate the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement signed by the three countries a day earlier.
LED screens were installed on major avenues in various cities, while the national flags of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye were displayed to celebrate the historic Makkah Accord.
In the Federal Capital of Islamabad, Constitution Avenue is lined with digital displays of the three flags, while government buildings, including Parliament House, were decorated with colorful lights.
LED screens at prominent points along Constitution Avenue and elsewhere in the city are carrying messages on the historical ties, mutual cooperation and shared defence commitments among the three countries.
After the sunset, the flags, LED displays and strings of lights along Constitution Avenue and around Parliament House and other state buildings have turned the area into a draw for evening visitors.
In Lahore, the people joined in the celebrations by gathering along the Main Boulevard Gulberg which was decorated by the Parks and Horticulture Authority with lights and screens to pay tribute to peaceful and historic message of Makkah Accord.
Likewise, the special decorations across various major thoroughfares in other cities also drew significant public attention, with citizens expressing immense joy over the growing trilateral cooperation and praising the city’s breathtaking displays in honor of the historic defense pact.
The prominent displays reflect the strategic significance of the Makkah Agreement and the cementing of ties between Islamabad, Ankara, and Riyadh.
The festive atmosphere is being hailed as a beautiful manifestation of brotherhood, mutual trust, and a shared vision for defense cooperation.
