ABBOTTABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Aug, 2026) Students from 35 outsourced government Primary schools in Abbottabad and Mansehra Saturday showcased their scientific, creative and academic talents at a Summer Camp Exhibition held in Abbottabad.
The camp highlighted efforts to improve the quality of education in remote and underserved areas.
Director Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation Habib ur Rehman was the chief guest at the event, while Programme Manager PIU Shafqat-ul-Mulk, DEO Female Abbottabad Ayesha Saeed and other relevant officials also attended.
Students from schools in remote and underdeveloped areas actively participated in the exhibition and displayed scientific models and projects covering geographical and biological themes, including solar energy, hydropower and the water cycle.
The students also presented speeches, national songs and poetry of Allama Iqbal, receiving appreciation from the audience. Officials said the exhibition was aimed at promoting co-curricular activities, building students’ confidence and linking classroom education with practical learning.
Principals of schools showing outstanding performance were also presented certificates of appreciation.
Speaking on the occasion, Habib ur Rehman said enrollment in outsourced schools had reached 70,000 within a few months, describing the figure as evidence of their strong performance. He said the ESEF team and teachers had demonstrated excellent performance. Shafqat-ul-Mulk said the outsourcing initiative was aimed at providing quality education in remote and underdeveloped areas, adding that only the management and operations of the schools had been entrusted to private partners.
He said private-sector partners would continue to work with the programme as long as they maintained good performance. Officials said computer classes had been made mandatory in all outsourced primary schools, while internet connectivity and classroom cameras were being introduced. They added that curricular and co-curricular activities would be monitored and school infrastructure would be further improved. The exhibition was organised for winter-zone schools, while a similar exhibition for summer-zone schools would be held next year.
