PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Aug, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating seven terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Hangu district.
The Governor also paid homage to Captain Hamza Akram, who embraced martyrdom during the operation, saying the young officer displayed exemplary courage and bravery and laid down his life in defence of the country.
He said the security forces had once again demonstrated their professionalism, determination and valour by foiling the nefarious designs of terrorists.
Kundi said the sacrifices rendered by the security forces and law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism were a source of pride for the entire nation.
The Governor said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stood shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in the fight against terrorism and for ensuring lasting peace and stability in the country.
He reaffirmed that the struggle against foreign-sponsored terrorism would continue until the complete elimination of the menace.
