LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Aug, 2026) Lahore Commissioner Nauman Yousaf on Saturday inspected Mian Mir Hospital to review healthcare protocols, sanitation standards and deep-cleaning measures being implemented under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
During the visit, the commissioner inspected the dialysis centre, emergency department, wards and other hospital sections. Assistant Commissioner Cantt and the Deputy District Health Officer briefed him on the provision of healthcare services and administrative arrangements.
Commissioner Nauman Yousaf reviewed the hospital’s medicine store and examined the availability and supply of medicines. He also interacted with patients to inquire about medical facilities and expressed satisfaction after confirming that free medicines were being provided without interruption.
The commissioner also checked staff attendance according to the duty roster and reviewed ongoing deep-cleaning operations, issuing on-the-spot directions to further improve hygiene standards. He instructed the hospital administration to place dustbins outside every ward and operation theatre and ensure continuous cleanliness of washrooms. He said a zero-tolerance policy was being enforced regarding cleanliness and hygiene in hospital canteens, parking areas and all other public facilities.
Nauman Yousaf said inspections of public healthcare facilities were being conducted in line with the chief minister’s directives to ensure strict implementation of medical care protocols and deep-cleaning standards. He added that healthcare services and sanitation arrangements at hospitals would continue to be monitored regularly under a scheduled inspection programme.
