LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Aug, 2026) The business community on Saturday welcomed the strategic trilateral defence pact among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye, describing it as a timely initiative that would reinforce collective security and send a clear message of unity against aggression, destabilisation and threats to regional peace.
In a joint statement issued here, former Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Zahid Iqbal Chaudhry, FPCCI Regional Committee on food Convener Shahid Imran and Coordinator to the Federal Tax Ombudsman Saif Ur Rehman said the strategic understanding would significantly strengthen defence cooperation among the three brotherly countries while promoting peace, stability and mutual security in the region.
They said the agreement reflected the shared resolve of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye to safeguard their sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interests through enhanced collaboration and mutual support.
The trade leaders expressed confidence that the partnership would also open new avenues for cooperation in economic, diplomatic, technological and defence sectors, ultimately contributing to greater solidarity, stability and prosperity across the Muslim world.
The business leaders stressed that unity and coordinated efforts among friendly nations were essential to ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.
