SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Aug, 2026) The University of Sargodha has confirmed the services of 105 faculty members across various academic disciplines, strengthening its teaching and research capacity.
Confirmation letters were distributed during a ceremony presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, which was attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Additional Registrar Syed Nasir Abbas Bukhari, Deputy Registrar Muhammad Asif, deans, administrative officers and faculty members.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas said faculty members were the driving force behind a university’s academic excellence and research productivity. He said regular appointments brought greater responsibility to maintain high standards of teaching, research and student mentorship.
He urged the newly confirmed faculty to focus on quality teaching, impactful research and projects addressing national priorities, adding that the university would continue to invest in academic excellence through merit-based recruitment and faculty development.
Registrar Waqar Ahmad said the confirmation of the faculty had been made after completion of all legal and administrative requirements through the selection board process.
He said the confirmed faculty included 30 Professors, 10 Associate Professors, 27 Assistant Professors and 38 Lecturers, whose confirmed appointments would further strengthen teaching and research across the university.
