PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th Aug, 2026) The district administration Peshawar on Thursday held a special open court (Khuli Katchery) for women in Tehsil Chamkani to listen to their grievances, ensure effective and timely resolution, and improve the delivery of public services.
Held on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Captain (R) Sanaullah Khan, the open court was attended by Assistant Commissioner (Sadar) besides representatives of the departments of Health, Education, Revenue, TMA, Social Welfare and other relevant offices.
Women participants raised complaints and submitted their suggestions regarding education, health, sanitation, drainage, power outages, basic facilities for women, access to government services and other public issues.
Several complaints were addressed on the spot, with relevant officers directed to take immediate action.
For remaining issues, the concerned departments were instructed to take necessary measures within stipulated timelines and ensure regular follow-up.
Addressing the participants, the Assistant Commissioner (Sadar) said the district administration was taking all possible measures for the resolution of public problems.
He said women’s feedback and participation were vital for effective and people-friendly governance. He assured that women’s issues would be resolved on a priority and such open courts would continue to be held in the future.
The participating women appreciated the district administration’s direct public outreach initiative and expressed hope that it would lead to further improvement in addressing their issues.
