Khanewal Observes Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir With Seminar, Solidarity Walk



District Khanewal observed Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir on Wednesday in line with the directions of the Government of Punjab, reaffirming unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK)

KHANEWAL, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5th Aug, 2026) District Khanewal observed Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir on Wednesday in line with the directions of the Government of Punjab, reaffirming unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

A seminar was held at the District Council Hall under the supervision of the district administration, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad. The event was attended by Member of the National Assembly Muhammad Khan Daha, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Communication and Works Rana Muhammad Saleem Hanif, District Police Officer Muhammad Abid, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), other government officials, school students, members of civil society, the Peace Committee and the President of the District Bar Association.

Participants expressed solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people and strongly condemned the atrocities and human rights violations being committed in IIOJK. A one-minute silence was observed to pay tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir.

School students presented tableaus and delivered speeches highlighting the Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom and their unwavering commitment to the right to self-determination.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad paid tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, saying Pakistan stands firmly with them at every forum.

She said the observance of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir aims to draw the attention of the international community towards the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK.

Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Rana Muhammad Saleem Hanif said that India’s unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, were against international law and the spirit of the United Nations resolutions. He reiterated that the Pakistani nation would continue extending its political, diplomatic and moral support to the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people.

District Police Officer Muhammad Abid said Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir symbolizes solidarity with the Kashmiri people and condemnation of Indian atrocities. He added that the sacrifices of the martyrs of Kashmir would never go in vain and that the courage and steadfastness of the Kashmiri people remain an inspiration for the world.

The ceremony concluded with a solidarity walk led by MNA Muhammad Khan Daha, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Rana Muhammad Saleem Hanif and Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad, with participants reaffirming Pakistan’s continued support for the just cause of the Kashmiri people.
