SIALKOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th Aug, 2026) Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) on Thursday hosted a prestigious ceremony to announce the results of the board of Intermediate and Secondary education (BISE) Gujranwala Matric Annual Examinations 2026 a release said.
The event was attended by the Chairperson of BISE Gujranwala, Engineer Dr. Aqsa Shabbir, as the chief guest, while the Vice Chancellor of Government College Women University Sialkot, Professor Dr Shazia Bashir, participated as the guest of honor. Board officials, faculty members, parents, students, and distinguished guests from various walks of life were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shazia Bashir congratulated all students who successfully passed the Matric Annual Examinations and paid tribute to the dedication and hard work of their parents and teachers.
She announced that female position holders of BISE Gujranwala who enroll in the First Year (Intermediate) at Government College Women University Sialkot will be provided with 100% tuition fee waiver, free transportation, and free hostel facilities for two years.
She further stated that the University has established new computer laboratories, science laboratories, comfortable common rooms, and modern classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to provide Intermediate students with a high-quality learning environment where they can develop their academic potential.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson of BISE Gujranwala, Engineer Dr Aqsa Shabbir, congratulated the successful students, their parents, and teachers, stating that these achievements are the result of consistent hard work, determination, and the guidance of dedicated educators. She also highlighted the Board’s performance, educational reforms, and various initiatives introduced for the welfare and academic development of students.
Sharing the examination statistics, she informed the audience that 242,192 students appeared in the Matric Annual Examinations 2026, of whom 168,266 successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 69.48%. She further announced that Aadina Rashid and Siddiqa Almas jointly secured the first position in the Board by obtaining 1,190 marks each.
Later, Engineer Dr Aqsa Shabbir officially announced the Matric Annual Examination 2026 results by pressing the online launch button. She also expressed her sincere appreciation to Government College Women University Sialkot, particularly Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shazia Bashir, for successfully organizing the ceremony.
At the conclusion of the event, medals, certificates of appreciation, and cash prizes were distributed among the Board’s position holders. The audience warmly applauded the outstanding achievers and extended their best wishes for their continued success and a bright future.
