BAHAWALPUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th Aug, 2026) In line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision of transforming Bahawalpur into a clean, green, modern, and aesthetically appealing city, development work on key urban infrastructure projects is progressing at an accelerated pace.
As part of this initiative, Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Irfan Ali Kathia, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza, visited Multan Roundabout Chowk to inspect the ongoing development and beautification project. During the visit, officials briefed the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner on the project’s progress, construction quality, landscaping plans, and timeline for completion.
According to the briefing, the Multan Roundabout is being redeveloped as a state-of-the-art urban landmark featuring high-quality landscaping, seasonal flowerbeds, lush green plantations, and a modern fountain that will be made operational upon completion of the project.
Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia directed the concerned departments to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining the highest standards of construction quality.
He instructed officials to further accelerate the pace of development activities to ensure the timely completion of the scheme and provide citizens with modern, attractive, and safe urban infrastructure.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza said that the modern redevelopment and landscaping of Multan Roundabout would significantly enhance the beauty of Bahawalpur and contribute to creating a more pleasant and welcoming urban environment for residents and visitors alike.
He added that the district administration remains committed to implementing development projects that improve the city’s appearance, strengthen public infrastructure, and enhance the overall quality of life in accordance with the Punjab Government’s urban development agenda.
