SUKKUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5th Aug, 2026) A special ceremony was organized at the Divisional Directorate of Information, Sukkur on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, in which full solidarity was expressed with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
At the beginning of the ceremony here on Wednesday, a one minute silence was observed to pay tribute to the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs and to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir.
On this occasion, Divisional Director Information Sukkur Ghulam Abbas Goraho, along with officers and officials of the Information Department, participated. The participants paid rich tribute to the long freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people and expressed their resolve that full moral, diplomatic and political support will continue for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.
The participants of the ceremony said that Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir reminds us of the unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, through which the special constitutional status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir was revoked. They emphasized that the Kashmiri people should be granted the right to self-determination in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
At the end of the ceremony, prayers were offered for peace, freedom and prosperity of the people of occupied Kashmir.
